Dr. Vince McNamara
Vince McNamara has been working in search for over 20 years. In that time, he has managed numerous search and analytics projects all over the world in senior consulting roles at Verity and Exalead before co-founding Dahu.
Vince is passionate about creating elegant solutions to hard problems. He holds a PhD and BSc in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Imperial College, London, and an MSc in Computing Science from Birkbeck College, London, and spent several years as a post-doctoral research scientist in the USA before switching fields to focus on I.T.
Chris Bartlett is widely recognised as a leading expert in enterprise search. Working in senior technical roles at DEC, Credit Suisse, Verity, Autonomy, FAST and most recently as VP of Technology at Exalead, he has an unrivalled understanding and knowledge of the search industry. Chris has a particular strength in identifying new and innovative approaches to addressing existing organisational and information needs. He has worked as the lead search expert to define global strategy, technological architecture and platform design for some of the largest enterprise search projects in the world.
As a co-founder of Dahu, Chris loves to get involved at the coal-face, designing and coding components for Dahu in C++, Perl and Ruby. Chris frequently contributes to the wider enterprise search community through blogs and other contributions on search-technology forums and web sites.Linkedin
Job has 10 years strong technical experience with a focus on Microsoft Technologies including 6 years working with large complex search technology projects in various roles including technical delivery, systems design and architecture and business analysis. His specialisations include design, development, testing and deployment of Web Applications using Microsoft SharePoint, ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server background.
His most recent project with Dahu is as Senior Consultant on the implementation of Enterprise Search for Ageas Insurance. He has also undertaken senior roles at Clifford Chance, Comperio Search and Microsoft MCS UK. Job’s key strength is an in-depth understanding of business drivers and requirements, with an ability to translate into a technical solution and hands-on practical implementation due to his experience at all levels of technical development.
